self rising speaker stands

As I have a temporary shoulder injury, it makes placing a speaker high on a stand difficult, painful and dangerous.

I'd like to buy a pair of those newer self rising (crank?) speaker stands.

Anyone have a link to a nice pair of them?

Frankenstands are cool and are of the self rising type.... very expensive though..... but, that's the only down side to them. I believe they use some sort of pneumatic (sp?) system.
 
Joker actually you might want to look again at the price for Frankens I was quite shocked at the price at MBLV 2008. of course those guitar center cheapies are alot less. Im not in need of the self lifting stands any longer having purchased my Dynacord system raising those VL262 speakers with one hand.:sqwink:

When I last checked they were priced at over $200.00 each and that to me is expensive for a stand.

How much are they now Ben?
 
Perhaps I saw them at show price. Perhaps its a good enough reason to go convention shopping.

Hey you guy, Dr. Frankenstand here - Please, I don't where that price of $200 each came from BUT I ASSURE YOU THEY ARE NOT NOW OR WERE THEY EVER $200 EACH - Never, never, never!

So to set the record staight - the price of a Frankenstand MAP is $134.99 which is about $15 less that the Noodle Leg stand. Possibly some of my dealer are trying to sell them for a lot more but certainly not $200.


Also the noodle leg stand only comes in ONE POWER - Frankenstands now come in THREE powers. Regarding the gas struts - if you are fearful of them fading call me directly and I'll give you a ten year warrenty / check that call me and I'll give you a

F1 is for speakers that weigh between 45 and 50 pounds
F2 is for speakers that weigh between 60 and 80 pounds
and the newest stand F3 for speakers between 30 and 40 (as in the new EON)

Regarding the gas struts - if you are fearful of them fading call me directly and I'll give you a ten year warrenty / check that call me and I'll give you a LIFE TIME WARRENTY - I'm on my sixth year with my personal Frankenstands and they keep on ticking - I mean how many times a week can you actually use them - they are supposed to go up and down some 20-thousand cycles!

Ben, Dr. Frankenstand here - sorry to correct you - Frankenstands never ever were $200 - never - I don't know where you saw that - maybe it was
List price somewhere - but as we all know that is a BS price. Right now the MAP is $134.99 and that is way below the Noodle Leg copy and yes they "copied" it.
