I dont care what people call it, why they argue is beyond me .... your doing a service for god's sake, not selling gear to them
if a job is to be done and its a SERVICE then pay me to do it........
all the ones that argues otherwise, then get yourself another job - you cant run a business if that hurts your clients
they already know what they want and they will get it weather its from you or some other idiot dj that charges less or more!
if you dont want to play with the big boys then why even dj in the first place

Weather is the condition outside, like rain, snow, hot, cold, fog, etc. Or an Idiot DJ in the snow.
Whether is used to differentiate between choices. Examples: "I don't know whether to go to the movies today or to play miniature golf." Or "Do you know whether or not Aerosmith is touring in central Florida this year?"

Bottom line, if you do not use SIGNED contracts & require a retainer (deposit) and you wind up on the short end of the stick, you have no one to blame but yourself.
Screw the handshake, verbal agreement, etc.........get it in writing.
