My main computer at home is Vista, I tried it on one of my XP machine same problem, when right clicking, but that machine is setup a little different so when I left clicked it gave me the save option and that worked fine.

I'm on XP and I still can't get in. Boy, you're making very hard to steal this stuff. At this point I'd rather buy it.:sqerr:

not sure what capping means...i really am an idiot about all this stuff..

I did go in and rename the file with no spaces....see if that helps....

Thanks guys for the feedback....I'm looking to change hosting soon...

Capping can mean 1 of 2 things:

Either they're limiting how much outgoing bandwidth you can use at any one time. Say it's capped at 1500k/sec if 3 users are downloading the file at the same time (concurrently) at 500k/sec then you have reached the cap of 1500k/sec anything display a bandwidth exceeded message or nothing depending on how the server is configured.

Or

They're capping the number of connections to the server at one time. Say I was having problems with the load on ODJT's server I might cap it to 1000 concurrent requests for anything while I get the hardware upgraded. Anything over 1000 concurrent requests would get a 404 (not found) error.

If they're capping they'd probably be doing it the first way I outlined BUT based on how some can get it and some cannot I'm guessing it's an authentication error. I got 2 (big) files fine on my Mac and was able to start a download in Linux just fine.

In the future you'd probably be better off putting the files in a password protected zip and direct linking to it.

or if there is spaces in the filename it can also be bad

when you create files for onlune use ALWAYS use either . or _ or -

eg:
sample-file-name.mp3

sample_file_name.mp3

sample.file.name.mp3

its the same with webpages etc etc

oh PS:

I logged in ok but couldnt download anything
kept telling me nothing was there :(

Thanks all....

Dan, I'll try the .zip thingy. Thanks for that tip. Can't do it from school...the cpanel sais page not found. I think that is definitely a port thing.

Dennis, I did remove spaces from the file per MBM's post...Thanks for the ideas man...

I'm wondering if there is just a cap thing goin....my webmaster is looking into it. Again, we are considering new hosting plans either way. Keep tryin'...I think its only allowing a certain number of people to get it.

Dude, save your money. This music ain't worth a dime, but the mix as a whole is great for the kids at these dances that need to do these dances....

Well thank you sir. But when I'm getting something for free I demand better service. :sqwink:

I'm just busting you sir.:sqwink:

I'll try later and let you know if I get any problems or not. I have to run out the door and I don't want to, still listening to the 60 min 80's mix. My hubby is the computer wiz here so I will try when he is around. Thanks though! :)

I dont know why you dont upload it to either Rapidshare, megaupload, or yousendit site then you wont have that sort of hassles

because it still wont come down again!

you can all download this All in One Site uploader program

http://rapidshare.com/files/217190969/AIO_Site_Uploader.zip

then you can choose where your going to store files

Rapidshare is a pay to play site. I'm already paying for hosting. I just need to wake up my webmaster and ask him what may be causing some users to get it and some not. Its really the first time I've seen the issue. Something tells me its a capping thing...maybe some will give me a clue.

Please let me know everyone if its working better now. If not, I'll keep tryin'!

looks like they will either charge a lot more on your site for the bandwidth or you may want to use the site uploader i suggested..... the AIO file

you can upload for FREE but it stays there on Rapidshare for 30x days then is deleted

why dont you read what is involved on some of the sites this way you dont use all your bandwidth on your server...

thats why I use these sites...

Still works on my end....

Yeah, I'd do the rapidshare thing, but I don't want you guys to wait 30 seconds to download. That's cheesy.

But I gotta tell EVERYONE that has heard it, its no longer relevant. Even the same kids that bounced to it a year or two ago are done with it. This mix got rear-ended at a prom on Saturday. Thank God, because every single one of those tracks is trash to me....the whole idea was to just mash that crap together to get it out of the way. In my area, even a year ago, this slow down dance-of-the-day crap was all anyone ever wanted.....Now its Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and the faster semi-techno crap. I think the newer stuff smells better, but a turd is a turd. Music changes over about every 6 mo.

This mix of songs will be perfect for 5 year reunions in about 4 years. Ahhh...the good old days of Walk It Out.

puke....

thanks to all that have heard. For those of you that haven't, I'll try to get it up on Rapidshare for 30 days or sumthin'. Give me some time this evening.
