I'll go with "A" Florist, since people tend to send flowers for all sorts of occasions and reasons.

Birthdays, Anniversaries, Sickness, Death, Get out of the doghouse (if you're a husband), Valentines Day, etc. etc. so forth and so on.....:sqwink:

Huh...?

Maybe it's just me, but I eat 2-3 times a day -- I send flowers once every couple years...

The Baker rules! We use Torino's bakery here in Newburgh (it's on speed dial) :)

There's not too many real bakeries around here. Just a bunch of part-time bottom-feeding "cake-makers" and of course...Wal*Mart...LOL:sqrolleyes::sqwink:

Same here no bakery in our small town or the few small towns surrounding us. Which is surprising it being NY and all. We do have 2 bakeries in the nearest 2 large towns though and of course there's always Wal-Mart and the grocery stores which is sadly what people opt for most of the times these days. The advent of supermarkets put most of the hometown bakeries out of business. The only place I've been where you consistently see bakeries in every neighborhood is NYC. Even then in the "up and coming" neighborhoods bakeries are being left by the way side.

Jeez a guy cannot even get a decent Canoli these days! :sqmad::sqeek::sqwink:

-I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

Can't recall EVER going to a real baker.... I mean EVER.... I do go to Panera Bread Company a few times a year, though.

I send flowers about 2x a year, and my wife probably does about 6 - 8x a year.

I would say that the majority of the Wedding cakes at the receptions that we've been involved with have been made by individuals rather than a bakery.

Same here... here mostly done by friends of the family... some cakes have been damn good both looking and tasteing.

Oh, great--the wedding cake industry has bottom feeders, too.

I can't really speak to that as a whole, but our cake was made at the catering hall by the caterer.

Don't know about you folks -- but, when I need baking done -- I go to a pro... :sqwink:

When I need to get baked I just go see my friend up the street he gets the good stuff!..... oh wait you actually mean baked goods as in cakes.... nevermind me then, carry on.
