Numark Omni - DESPERATE HELP REQUIRED

Firstly hello, hope you're all well.

Now this is driving me insane. I'm most likely overlooking something so stupid but here goes...

Got an Omni Control this morning and a set of headphones. I simply cannot get any sound coming out of the headphones.
Let me explain the set up...

- Laptop to Omni via USB cable
- Omni Output 1 connected to an Amp
- Amp connected to 2 speakers.
- HEADPHONES CONNECTED TO HEADPHONES INPUT ON THE FRONT.

Now, obviously I want to listen to one deck in the headphones while the other plays through the speakers. Have I got to alter the preferences in Tracktor? Why am I not even getting a peep out of the headphones at all? It is driving me insane!

Could it be to do with output 2? I dont understand why I would need to connect to a second amp and set of speakers!

I am obviously very new to this so apologies if I have been asking some stupid questions. I'm fairly certain its not faulty and is most likely my stupidity that is causes the problem but it's driving me mad.

Any help would be much appreciated, and as specific as possible.

I appreciate its probably not hard to do at all but is there any chance someone could give me a step by step.... feel like a tool but want this resolved asap.
