Uh, I think he just reversed the climb. The same way you get down after climbing up a latter.

Actually, that's pretty much impossible, if you look at the layout, and the climb.

I looked around the engineering sites, and the best they could figure, was that they had to lower it by crane...

You simply reverse the same steps you took in going up!

Think of it as walking up a set of stairs and then walking back down backwards, he doesn't have to turn around and come back down face down!:sqwink:

Don't have to read up on it, I made my living for years running heavy equipment including trackhoes!:sqbiggrin:

Actually Rox hit it right on the head with "run the video in reverse"!

So look at it logically! The plate is in the same position as it was placed on his last step.

So he lowers the tracks and hook back to the last step up (3rd step), locks in and brings the plate back to the next level releases and lowers his tracks and hook back to the 2nd step locks in his tracks and hook releases the plate and brings it down to the next lower level locks in and releases his tracks and hook and lowers the tracks and hook to the 1st step locks in and releases the plate and brings it down to the last plate level locks in releases his tracks and hook and lowers the unit to the ground!

Actually the climbing a ladder analogy is the perfect wat to look at it (unless you are Rick:sqwink:) you get back down a ladder the same way you go up! Except for Rick he turns around and comes back down face first :sqlaugh:)
 
Do it on paper (that's what I did), and see if it works...

Rick go outside set a ladder up against the side of a house and climb up 5 steps, then come back down again! And put that on paper and see how it works out!:sqwink:
