New year gig .. Any new ideas folks!

Hi all, i've just confirmed my new year eve's gig. Its gonna be a dj night alright..probably with an MC who might run the show. Well i've done quite a few New year gig's and its always the same Countdown and then a typical famous New year 80's track in Tamil (Its in chennai , india) ..well i've kind of remixed that track in an electro version and plan to play the original and the remixed version. I'd like to know if you have any innovative ideas of how to go about the strike of new year , any innovative sound effects or samples that might be new for the people here in Chennai. Or any routine would also be appreciated!!
 
Shaun take the clocks track from Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon its where the clocks a room full of them are ticking and finally the alarms go off Gongs etc its brilliant for such a moment. I used to use it as my alarm clock setting my stereo timer to begin the clocks as the wake up time hit.

Thanks a lot!!! I'll check it out right away! :D Please give me more ideas if possible! I'll really appreciate any ideas coming my way

I'm sorry JT but i did listen to the track 'Dark side of the moon' by floyd but there was nothing of the clock sort in that. Is it that track or could you pls specify the track name exactly if possible pls! Thanks again..n sorry for the trouble
 
Shaun its on the album you need to listen to the intro before Dark Side Of The Moon I believe.
 
thanks Harris Im brain dead and even left my camera at home and Im at a beautiful venue overlooking Vancouver and its snowing. Im choked. Good thing I remembered my Dynas.

You can also turn down the music and go home-What a shock!
