Don't know why, but these caught my attention. I'd like to have a couple for my TV room, but I could also see these used at gigs, either as floor washes or possibly wall washes. YMMV.

I’m familiar with them, bought two of them for a different purpose, and They’re not bright at all. Ok for a bedroom, but for a venue you’d need LOTS of them.

That's good to know, thanks for sharing. I still may buy a pair for my TV room.

I recently bought some digitally controlled RGB LED strips that can perform all sorts of chases and even operate in sound active mode. I am surprising my wife by embedding them into a table that will have a river of glass stones (the type used in fire pits) down the middle. I thought about using a similar strip and putting it into an aluminum channel to create something just like the product you posted. You could save some money doing that but probably not enough to be worth your time. It would be more about the satisfaction or creating it yourself.
