New product?

I don't have a problem with someone posting about any new product, but when there is no question posed concerning our thoughts on the product, or something similar by the author of the thread, I begin to suspect more of a SPAM post. That's just me though.

Perhaps some certain guidelines to this type of post should be discussed in the Mods Den. I'll work on it.

Sparkieg,
I don't see at as Spam and drzinc has posted before in different topics. These are new products and many have been posted and discussed before. If a thoughts question was missing really doesn't matter since there's a history of posts by said member. If it were a first post with nothing else then I would consider it SPAM but it's not the case. And discussion of the products posted is implied.

With all due respect, people are too quick to label things as Spam. My definition of Spam is when someone keeps sending something over and over. If you ask them to stop and they continue then thats Spam.
Maybe the author was just trying to share a new product that he just bought or is interested in buying. I don't know for sure. Yes, he should have added something to the post such as "Thoughts anyone?" or Look what just came out".
What is of interest to one may not be of interest to another.
I don't consider it Spam. With that said, I think we should all be sensitive and give respect to our Sponsors on the Forum with regard to how we post certain products/brands/equipment sources.

This guy is always knowledgeable and good with the technical stuff. I had no idea there were new Behringer amps available and I appreciate the info. Pricing would be nice too . . .

back on topic-
The EP2500 and EP1500 have established thmeselves as reliable peices of gear regardless of what people say. These new ones will expand their line and bring them closer in offering to the QSC RMX line which they mimic. If you have the money, its a no brainer, get the QSC. But the Behringers have been workhorses for many including myself. What I find weird is that these are nowhere listed on the Behringer site even thogh they are listed with pricing on some Euro sites.

For some reason, I find the following difficult to believe:
•Conceived and designed by BEHRINGER Germany.
At any rate, Carvin offers much the same from their DCM amp line... and they're made right here in the USA. :)

Some of us like new shiny things. Some of the people on here can not afford Crown, QSC or many of the big names. This post is what it is, some info from a brand that makes some good stuff and some not so good stuff. Their amps are workhorses and I was just pointing out the have some new models.

drzinc:

I enjoy your posts, and don't consider them to be spam.

I've had good luck with my Behringer stuff to date (knocks wood) :)

Their Truth monitors are excellent quality -- I bought two pairs, and their little USB sound cards work great! I'm gonna pick up one of their small mixers for video voiceover work as well.

Fred, I think that designed in Germany, actually means reverse engineered somebody else's product, and figured out how to have the Chinese build it cheaper... ;)

drzinc - Please forgive me if I was a little too quick with my observations - it was a long night at work last night and I was a little frazzled. Thank you for providing additional input on the original subject - it really is greatly appreciated. I'm sure several here found the information to be useful.

Just for future reference sake, when you post something, like the original, please share your thoughts on the subject matter, what you do and don't like about it, and why, and ask the rest of us to join in on the topic by asking our thoughts, as several here have mentioned already.

Again, my apologies for citing it as SPAM - sometimes watching over 5 television stations in Network control overnight makes me a little goofy.

One of the mixers that I have been using for over 5 years now is a Behringer VMX 1000 and I really like it. Its nice looking and has a lot of bells and whistles. For the price I paid $179.00, I think I have gotten my money's worth.

Apologies accepted! I try not to spam forums or bulleting boards (showing my age) I own and have owned Behringer stuff and have been satisfied with the products I have. I researched before I bought the stuff that I have by reading other forums and magazines. To the other guys that dont like Behringer they do have some of their own designs their DCX 2496 has no copy out there and their DEQ2496 is an original. both of which I own. I also have a pair of their speakers that are solid built and sound.

A small band at a wedding, karaoke, keyboard at weddings and I am old school I love a preamp before my processing.

Hey drzink, how does that GTD Audio wireless system perform? Nice looking rack btw...

I was skeptical at first because of the price of the system, but it is clear long range and each channel has its own output. I never had a system like this and at first was suprise to hear a relay click in the system whenever a mic was turned on.
