For those of you with Live X active speakers, how's it going with them so far? Just curious on your opinions. I currently have 2 of the 12's and 1 of the 18's. Waiting for the right place to christen 'em. Testing sounded really nice. Thus far, the 12's have been tested in full range mode and in external sub mode - both have worked flawlessly. Been wondering about the lack of a fan or fins but haven't seen anything to cause me any worries yet.

No sound issues? You're using them with the elx118p sub right? Any sub issues (limit, clip, overheat?)

Where are you with the control knobs? (Input level and Loudspeaker level) on the 12 and the sub?

On the 12, Are you in Flat line EQ or the other one? You said you are using 'With Sub' for the other selector.

On the Sub, are you in Flat line EQ or the other one?

On a slightly different topic - anyone thought of wheels for the 18's? How are you transporting them - are you just carrying them?

The sub I'm using is an EV sba760. Those tops are almost out-pushing it. I run them about 75%-80%, flat eq, sub mode engaged. I send 100hz (and above) to them from the high-out on the sub. I'd really like to have a pair of those X-series 18s but gonna have to get a bigger hauler first.

I'll be using the 112P's with the 118P's. The tops are at 3:00 on both of the controls (input and loudspeaker)? I'll also put the sub at 3:00. What do you mean by 'Those tops are almost out-pushing it'? The tops are out-pushing the sub?

I'll try the same setup as you and see what I get. I think I'll be coupling the 18's together (not electrically - just sitting them right next to each other) under the table when I can (as suggested by others on here) and 'stacking' the 12's when I can't. I'm set for flat on the tops and sub now so we'll see how it goes. For bags, I'm using the Gator 700's for the 12's and I think I'm going to craft something for the subs. Trying to think if I want wheels on the 18's and where to put them if I do.

I'm probably 4:00 on the 12s and yes, 2 of them were out-pushing the single sba760 (750 watt). I tried them in full range mode but guess the 100hz-250hz was tapping them out, but then again that was in a fairly large room and I was pushing them pretty hard. The past two weekends the 12s have been completely out of the limit lights while I'm still having to monitor the 760. I think after I get a van in place, I may sell off the Bose and get a pair of 18s.

4:00 on the 12's - wow, y'er like maxed out. Is that on both the input and the loudspeaker?

Just use this, you won't have to void your warranty on the speaker by modifying it. http://store.roadreadycases.com/dyn_prod.php?p=RRWADS

HOLY Crap! 100.00 for that thing! Are the wheels like 22 bucks each?

Now Mike... after the great deal I got ya on the Live-X... you should know I can probably get you a better deal on the dolly plate too. ;)

Oh I do - so drop me a line! Got my stands yesterday and they go together perfectly when stacked!

=)

That's why I was shocked at the price!
Not all casters can stand up to the rigors of Mobile use. I was just recently looking to replace my casters on a rack I bought last year. The Ball bearings came out in one of the wheels. After I replaced them, I came across these being sold at a Pro Audio Store here. I wish I had saved the closeup pics I took. These Road Ready Casters are made for the touring rigs, very heavy duty with sealed ball bearings. They don't get any better.
Check with Ben he said he would give you a better price.

BTW, the time and gas it would take you to go and look for Professional Grade Casters, bolts, nuts, washers, plyboard, paint etc then the time spent to build it....this unit is a steal.
