People usually know our price before they meet with us. The price is on our website and it has been discussed via either email or phone before the initial face-to-face meeting.

I never give a price before meeting them in person. Every wedding have details that are different.

A one-price-fits-all can be doing you more harm. (it may lump you into the bottom-feeder group)

how about these in there somewhere...

Unless otherwise requested by the Bride and Groom, your Dj will coordinate all activities, and make sure your other Wedding Professionals are kept informed of all events that are happening. This is to make your day run smoother, and to take some pressure off of you.

Seating arrangements; Please try to put "Younger crowd" closest to the Dance floor, to minimize possibility of complaints from "Older guests" for being too loud on the day! .

Is this event on the first floor or higher?: Yes No
Is there an elevator available?: Yes No
If NO Elevator, how many steps and flights of stairs must be negotiated to get gear in venue? __________________

Centerpiece Giveaway?: Yes No If Yes, By: Dj Banquet Hall Other______________

What concerns are important to you regarding the way your Dj coordinates your Reception? _______________________

How interactive would you like your DJ?

LOL.... That's why the POSTED PRICE includes customized pre-event planning, and a custom itinerary delivered before the event! :sqwink:

A one-price-fits-all can be doing you more harm. (it may lump you into the bottom-feeder group)

Only if you are charging bottom-feeder prices.

Folks, keep them coming.

I'll take all of them and consolidate it into one set and publish it here.

Here's is my take and contribution to this thread!

I do not need to know the Budget of the couple I give my price and they either accept or turn it down.

Here are my interview questions after the first 5 I set my price for the event!

1. What date are you interested in? This answer determines if we continue!

2. Where is the event located? This question determines distance and setup situation!

3. How many people will be at this event? This question determines the size of the system needed for the event!

4. Do you want me to supply sound for the ceromony and is at the same location as the reception? This question tells me if I will be able to run with one system setup or if it will require a second system for the ceromony!

5. What are the times that you want me contracted for? This tells me the time involvement I will have in the event!

Now I have a basis for price!

All other questions (and there are many) are on the planner!

I do not care if they tell me just do what you do because that is what we are paying you for or if they micro manage, it doesn't affect my rate at all!

ok so any more - I am eager for this list

How 'bout "how interactive would you like your DJ/MC to be?" (I prefer to do 2 person

and "what type of music would you like?" this could determine the type of sound system (bi-amped or basic sound for me).

I would love to have a list of all activities and a few "games" listed, so you can go down the line and determine "yes or no" on all of those, including notes
