Hello Everyone;

I wanted to stop by and say "hello". Jay Tea Vegas gave me a call (not once, but twice) to invite me over. Thank you Jay!

It's always exciting to see and hear about a new community of DJ's who are willing to get together to share ideas and network.

I have never really fancied myself as a frequent chat board participant, but obviously see the value when it is constructive (and not destructive).

I look forward to contributing when I think I can be of "useful" assistance.

I wish you all "the very best" in the continuing efforts to progress your businesses.

Larry,

It is great to see you here! Only two calls from Jay ?!?! You got off easy, or you are easily persuaded... Jay had to start calling me during wedding ceremonies before I joined.

(...something about the "Save a Horse, Ride A Cowboy" ringtone during a unity candle was the last straw)*

Feel free to drop into the Marketing Board and toss around some ideas with the crew. Tom French is dinking around in there, also. Nice crew is forming up.

* No. That didn't actually happen exactly as I stated, but 'during the ceremony' is 100% accurate.

Welcome to ODJT, Larry. Feel free to jump right in and post. :)

Hi ya Larry...

From the other Larry Williams DJ. I don't know if I ever told you that over on the other board. I go by Tyrone over here.

This guy for those who dont know him is one of the genuine ones who if there were a legit Hall OF Fame would get my vote. Welcome to our humble, fun, friendly and sharing board.

Larry:

Nice to see you here.

You're presenting in Vegas, right? Or was that another expo?

He is Tom and I hope to get in the door for front row seats wanna join me in an ourdjtalk shirt we might even be able to present him one after his seminar.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the "much too kind" words.

I'm just a regular guy (okay, a bit overweight) who is trying to make a difference in this wacky and wonderful profession that, at times, can become somewhat contentious.

Yes, I will be presenting at the MB Conference this February in Las Vegas. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible there. Next week, I'll be cruisin' with other colleagues on the DJ Cruise, so you will see me disappear here for a couple of weeks. It will be a nice (working) vacation.

When I return from the cruise, I hope to "roll up my shirtsleeves" with all of you so as to contribute with some useful dialog. I look very forward to the upcoming discussions.

Again, thank you for the warm welcome.

Larry's a class act and an all around groovy guy that knows his stuff. I would highly recommend reading his book "Mind Your Own Business" available through ProDJ Publishing; it's a must read for anyone serious about running their DJ biz as a business.

Thanks for the invite Larry, I'm looking forward to finally meeting you in Vegas soon!

Larry, the man, the myth, the legend. DJ, author, teacher, and all-around good guy.
