Having bad interferance through the amp coming from the power supply to the laptop this goes when unplugged and used on battery tried in line box from comp to speaker input on amp but to no avail

Your first help should be from an English tutor. I read this post aloud twice, and I have very little idea what you're saying. Sorry.
When i have the laptop plugged into mains electricity there is a interference buzz that i can hear through the amped speakers when i unplug from mains and use on the internal power supply this noise dissapears tried an inline supressor but to no avail

Based on what you're telling us, sounds like a ground loop, which can be eliminated by a ground lifter, or better yet, a Hum-X device, or something similar.
I get that sometimes too, if your laptop power supply has a 3 prong plug, try using either a HUM-X plug or a simple ground lift adaptor.

The three prong adaptors, unless properly grounded, are shock/electricution/fire hazards. If you must use one of these, get one with the ground wire on it and attach it to the ground source on the outlet.
Better yet, get a laptop with a proper plug or go with a rack mounted computer.

You're lifting the ground on the signal with that device (nice piece, btw), but not the power. Sounds like the power is your issue. Try the ground lift for $1.00, and if that solves it for you, investing in the Hum-X (about $60 or so) is worth it.
Will try and find one over here in the uk, If it works will solve a lot of headaches

I suggest that you dump the direct box, and go to using a Behringer
UCA 202 USB interface from the computer to the mixer...... I've had
the hum problems you speak of before going to the usb interface, and was
able to cure them using the 3 pin adaptor with the ground lift as shown
by MBM above........ that was when I was using the 1/8" stereo plug
on the computer........ Never had the problem again after switching to
the Behringer units - best 30 bucks I've ever spent, and have 7 of them...
