Bar & Club It Was A First For Me - Closed Down By The Cops

My only thing is there are so many fingers in the pie, it is hard to make a profit in tough times. Theh profits go down and the taxes go up.

We were looking at the job ads today and the starting pay for a sheriff was a whopping $13/hr. That is less than what I used to get for cleaning up dog doo. We thought no wonder they are so into stopping even people who are walking to check for drinking. The power trip is all that there is in it for them. Or else they get the $13 plus commission or sometlhing. Things are really difficult for everyone these days. But $13/hour to risk your life seems pretty low. And to have them doing inspector jobs is pretty strange. They are needed elsewhere.

Well that $13 doesn't include the extras that many cops get along the way, graft, bribes, sex in exchange for not writing tickets, the extra free stuff collected when investigating a breakin. These extra perks are what makes the job worth it for many!:sqwink:

Man Steve you really see the conspiracy side of everything don't you?

No I just know a bunch of cops!:sqlaugh:

Listed below is just a drop in the bucket of what has seen the light of day, all of the ones that have been caught you can multiply by 1000 and maybe have close to the number that are covered up every year!

Damn fun police. They probably kick their dogs on the way out the door in the morning too. :dontknow:

I'm guessing the permit is just another tax for businesses to pay?

No, no...cops love their dogs.

They beat their wifes on the way out the door. :sqwink::sqlaugh:

That's just wrong Wayde but still funny. :D

@Possum: $13 is ridiculously low. In my neck of the woods the town cops are Constables and the starting pay is somewhere around $11 last time they were hiring. There's only 4 or 5 Constables that make up the department and basically all they do is write tickets to out of towners but still not worth IMHO.

I couldn't be a cop because it's not worth it to put up with the idiots who have no respect. I'd knee cap people with my nightstick for being wisea$$es. :sqcool:

The cops shut down my parties at LEAST half the time. Then again i do college house/apt parties :p

I used to DJ a large BBQ in Ramona, CA every year. I think I did it four years in a row? Anyway, the cops showed up every year, even though the guy throwing it had 60 acres for us to hide in. It lasted from Friday morning until Sunday afternoon. It was Saturday that usually got shut down.

If I remember correctly, the last time I did it I was posting with a bunch of you on this site, and gave updates as they came. Fun times.

Rules and those charged with enforcing them always suck...until it benefits or protects you.

What a bunch of whining ninnies?

Ruben,

Sorry the event you were hired to perform at was being held illegally and it had a negative impact on you. The truth is, the host/manager/Man in Charge was operating in contravention to established laws of that community.

Police are not and should not be charged with determining which laws enforceable, their duty is to provide enforcement anytime they witness any law broken. Simple, huh?

What's that. You don't like the laws? Then vote and get involved in the process. Otherwise you are merely singing and dancing to the deaf, dumb and blind.

18th Birthday party on Saturday was in a county we don't have much experience in , apparently the noise ordinance laws are different there and we were hired to bring a " Club Experience " to a backyard. About 90 minutes into the party 2 cops showed up and threatened to not only write us a ticket but to CONFISCATE OUR EQUIPMENT!! I still say this is BS , i think that was an empty threat but i did look online and they can issue a ticket in that county for up to $600.00 for any music you can HEAR OFF OF THE PROPERTY! We had to turn down Dual 18's to Boom Box level, Event was still a success but it's disapointing to barely be able to turn your system on when you've got 100 kids wanting to dance.
