Wow! You guys came up with some great mission statements!

Ducky,

The question wasn't asking for a mission statement, it was asking what makes a good wedding DJ! The truth is what makes a good wedding DJ is the same thing that makes a good DJ..... ability to read and react to what the crowd wants!

if I didnt have the repeat work or the WOM
then how could I have stayed in business for 30+ years then

(not counting this year or 2010 - semi retirement atm)
so I can pick and choose what I do and when I do it!

I know we have some great DJ's... and some awesome wedding DJ's.

But my question is... what makes YOU a great wedding DJ? Could you answer in one sentence?

No because everything I feel is important should be said to every one of my prospective clients. I feel confident enough that with everything I do for my clients I am capable for most, if not all jobs available.

Become a client of mine, you just became a friend, and becoming a friend became the best relationship you could ask from a dj. IMO

Too many djs in my area have become a push play and take the money and run. I am 1,000,000% not this way, and I wear my heart on my business sleeve, and my clients appreciate me being honest and trustworthy.

Nonetheless, mission statements came out on this thread. :sqwink:

If someone were to seriously ask me what makes me a great wedding DJ, I'd probably comment on my ability to recognize the uniqueness of each couple and how I reflect that in the song selections.

I wear pants to (almost) every wedding I perform.
