I just ordered another Vue 2 light today and yesterday I bought another Harmony light stand. Chris before you beat me up about the light stand I like it a lot! It's sturdy enough for me and I love that the legs open real wide. I already had a Vue 2 light and saw another one on Ebay. Personally that's one of my favorite lights of all times. I'm getting a check for $10 for buying another one of the light stands.

Simply put I'm just feeling a void right now because one of my sponsee brothers died. I found out Tuesday night. Great guy and was clean for about 30 years. He moved to Colorado. I'm going to miss him. He was one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Sorry bout your friend...

...and your bad equipment decisions...

I knew that was coming and I don't care what you say or think. I pulled the trigger and did what I did. When you stop being a ... and accept my challenge I will pay attention to you. Until then buzz off.

So, you overpaid for the stand by maybe $20, and they're sending you a check for $10 for the honor?
I won't say that. Without tax it cost less than $60. So not a bad deal. For them to stay in business they have to make some kinds of profit don't they? They can't sell at cost or they would go out of business. When you go to the store to buy something don't you think you're paying more than the product cost to make it or what it cost the person buying the item from the manufacturer?

Profit is THEIR issue, not something I worry about.

How do YOU stay in business? You NEVER make a profit, so why would you be worried about them?
I didn't say I was worried about them. Let's look at it this way. DJs on here admit to lowering their price at certain times of the year or in certain situations give a discount. That's an incentive for a client to book them. Now what about when a company has a rebate on an item? It's an incendiary to get someone to buy their product or service.

So what they are doing because I buy from Ebay quite a bit is to give me an incentive to keep buying from Ebay. Just like when the price is lowered on a item. They do that to try to tempt someone to buy that product. You don't think they are over charging you for that item do you?

As a man who writes ads for a living....

Companies that offer REBATES usually include the amount of the rebate in the price.

If you "get a free $500 TV" when you buy a car....
you are most likely paying an extra $500 for the car.
Or in Mix's case .. paying $500 for a TV "valued at $500 by the seller" and actually worth $89.

Now that's funny. Would you like to buy a part of the GWB. I can sell you small portion of the bridge I own for only $500,000.

I wouldn't be so quick to mock Steve...

after all...you're the one who paid $60 for a $35 stand...
and thought you were getting a deal AND a $10 rebate.

That's not the same stand I bought. Now for a funny note I get a text message from AT&T saying because of something with the government I get a credit on my bill. I'm thinking it's going to be something like $50. It's $12.86. Big deal. Of course I'll take it but that's nothing to get excited about.
