How to make more money with better sound system?

I have to agree with these comments. When I bought the Bose system I did raise my price but also strove to raise our image. I wanted us to be different. I sell elegance to brides many times. Sometimes I will say to a bride. You have spent money to have the nicest dress for your day and the nicest venue and food ect ect. Then I will say its my feeling that we as a business wanted to offer our brides.
One of the top of the line sound systems in the industry because we know that they want only the best for there wedding day. Is this open manipulation ummm maybe a little but since many things go on perception then I'm simply telling her what she knows she wants already. I speak bride fluently.
My wife keeps telling me I'm a cunning Linguist so I guess thats what it means. )
I will say that I had no help from Cap. I did not buy my system from him so I felt that I should not be asking him for his time either. Though I'm quite sure that he would have given it if I had asked. What I do well is study and learn from other people and there mistakes. I spent alot of time on the Bose site learning about proper settings etc etc. My system sounds wonderful so I did something right.
I would not say that to my bride from Monday. I showed her my pic of my system and she got all exited. She is a Bose lover. And has Bose her self. I live in Cali guys most of our brides are teachers or managers or daddy has a big paycheck. They know what I'm selling. Your right they won't know B-52 or JBL or most any other brand.

You haveto buy the gear that best represents the criteria that customers are presenting you with. Where there is a lack of other over-riding criteria you select the best performance for the minimal cost (cost including not only the price, but labor with regard to bulk/weight, useful life, repair costs, risk of failure, cost of storage etc.)
For example, if I was doing a large volume of small weddings in tight spaces, or had a need to minimize the visual profile of my gear; I would choose the Bose system. Assuming performance is satisfactory, price would not really be the isuue here - it would be my need to keep the gear out of sight or in tight spaces.

If you worked your magic, you could easily convince most clients that your equipment is the best that money can buy.
(of course, once they actually HEAR them...)

This is excellent advice for the operator any sound system, Bose included. To get the most from your equipment, network with others who know it and have worked with it.
Personal example: It took me awhile (and quite a bit of being told) to finally listen to the pros and engage the subsonics switch on our lows amp. I was hard-headed and figured the more bass, the better. But disabling subsonics cleaned up the tone nicely.

Fred, if you really like low bass try using the DBX sub harmonic synthesizer. It is superbly awesome. But you have to have the mids and highs to balance it.
