Really big circles!
Flyingdjdan said:These charts: are they your average over the years, or just from last year?
Flyingdjdan said:You said earlier that you are showing consistant "budget percentages" for each catagory over the years.
How much has your budget actually grown in relation to the amount of area covered for performances (since you cover multi state and travel extensivly.)
Flyingdjdan said:Do you find that certain types of advertising work better in certain areas, either by population, or via demographics of the area. (if you are tracking).
I know from previous discussions you don't have a major web presence. Why?
Flyingdjdan said:Most people I see state that yp advertising is a pretty bad roi. Are you finding this? What methods do you find that are good.
Flyingdjdan said:I would enjoy a comparison of numbers with my biz. They are totally scewed. I purposfully cut way back due to a multitude of issues over the last few years. ( I took a step back, did internal and external review of me and the biz, didn't like what I saw. Major rebuild on both). The old business "model" (if you call it one) was purely hobbiest that would never have supported my family full time. Thus the revamp.

Whether we drive 100 miles in town or 180 miles out of town, the same amount of fuel get's used. We actually get better fuel mileage on the road.
If you dont already try using premium gas...You will get at least 1 MPG more the vehicle will work better. With the additional mileage and less repair it will more than pay for itselfI have also made an appeal to my staff to reduce speed from 75 to 65 on the interstate to conserve fuel. We live in a windy region. Fuel consumption can be affected by when you take off during the day.
I would beg to differ. Having a maintenance listing in a phone book is not a bad investment. Paying for a display ad may not be as cost effective. Most people that take issue with yellow page advertising are taking issue with parting with money. Not the ROI. I have over 20 years of data that supports yellow page listings working.

That's alot of stuff to remember,
Man I just charge a Lump sum, throw a real cool party
and buy cool stuff with it.

Dude, you need to get your facts straight. My wife has been a DJ since 1994. She has never been in your training program (unless joining MAPDJ is considered being your trainee). She also did not poach the karaoke gig. *** got fired, then they called her and asked her to kj the show. *** did lose the gig due to price, but that is because according to the bar owner he was gouging them over other services. As for throwing us out half way through the show...how would you even know that? Because ***'s best friend is one of the minor owners (not the decision maker) and told ***** even before she sstarted performing "***'s top dog in this town". I was there helping her set up. These are first hand facts, not the facts as told to you via ***.
[Removed Personal Attack -- Bounce].
People could access my wife's information as soon as you copied text from the website I made for *****. http://www.copyscape.com is wonderful.Tim,
Thanks for "outing" yourself...I guess? Out of respect for you, I didn't use names...just the situation. Now that you've "outed" yourself, everyone has access to your information.
Yes, it is true that 11 years ago I worked for you.Tim, it was you specifically that had applied for our company.
I married ***** in 2002. She lived in Minot and was married in 1996. Your paranoia is amazing. Thanks for outing yourself and showing your true colors.I still have your application on file. It does not indicate that you were in any way affiliated with any company when you applied. In fact, we specifically ask that question during the interview process.
What you are indicating in this post suggests you applied and specifically failed to disclose pertinent information about your affiliation to attain information about our operation.
It makes me wonder if you were really sick on the weekends when you "couldn't" work. Hmmm... thanks for filling in the blanks.
These are not my allegations. I am simply telling you what the owner said to ***** and me. You should have left ***** out of your scenario originally. If you're going to trash her, you have to answer for it. ***** certainly appreciated being named in a group of people she didn't know. If anyone Google's "***", they will not discover who we are discussing. On the other hand anyone who Google's the text you pasted in your post will find my wife's website. As for naming names... You should have left *** out of this scenario. I'm sure that he'll appreciate being named in front of a group he doesn't know.
I find it curious that he's a friend of one of the owners, referred to as a Karoake "top dog" in town & get's fired. I'm sure that *** will be more than happy to clear up your allegations.
