DJMAGNO, I'm looking at the same light, just for wedding monograms. But, the cost of the gobos may change your mind.

Most of these machines use glass or metal. Does anyone know why we can't use ones made on home computers with paper or plastic. The lights are LED and shouldn't give off heat.

Ben PM me the price of this projector. I'm thinking of randy's route but it seems as if getting a $150 stand alone gobo projector just seems less expensive. I only plan to use mine for monograms for my weddings.

I hope to have final pricing on Monday and will definitely PM you as soon as I get it.

Problem not solved. It's an additional cost you still have to sell the the B&G!

I hear what you're saying Abbey, but I have a LOT of customers who have no problem selling this for $250 to $500 to their B&Gs every weekend. The volume of custom gobos we make tells the tale, it MUST be profitable for the folks that order them nearly every weekend.

Several clever DJs even have a display frame or placard with their logo on it that the put the custom gobo in along with a picture of the first dance (the particulars vary) and then mail it to the B&G.

A professionally produced and projected Custom Gobo is an easy sell!
Nothing thrills the bride more than to see her and her spouse's name in light at their wedding reception.

You can upsell it as an option, or, better yet, increase your wedding package price to include the Custom Gobo.

So far, we're getting between $250 and $300 per Gobo.
Great way to increase your profit margin.

No the problem is solved, I do not offer gobo projection for free so I include the cost of a custom gobo into my gobo option. I don't sell them the upgrade for an extra $100 and also charge them an additional fee to get the gobo made.

Find out how much it cost to get a custom gobo made and shipped then double that, now you have your fee for gobo/monogram projection!

Let them keep the gobo afterwards as a "gift/souvenir/whatever you want to call it" from your DJ service with a satisfaction survey/thank you card and your on your way to recieving a great survey/review!!

I will only have gobo initials and will order mine from Gobo Source for the 28.5 mm gobos that are in either the American DJ/Chauvet LED gobo projectors. I purchase about 5 to 6 initials at a time and shipping is the same as if it were 1. I only plan to charge a small fee initially for adding a custom monogram of their last initial to the dance floor/wall.

Ben, if you carry the ADJ LED gobo projector PM me a price on that one.

Thanks

The cheapest gobo I've found is $59, not including shipping and taxes. So if I double that it would come to just under $120. In this market people are only willing to pay $50 I'm sure.

I think the best way to do it is to raise up the overall wedding price and include it.

Metal/Glass. I haven't bought anything yet. Just researching gobos and gobo projectors before I buy.

$12.50 from where? Send me a PM!

For the gobos too? I want to order them in increments of 4-6 for either the American DJ/Chauvet Gobo Zoom (I think it is a 28.5mm gobo).

I can shoot that over for you now, that's no problem. :) I can also send over the ADJ model. The Chauvet will not be available until March.
