If I had to project Gobos, I would experiment with taking the images and making them into " slides" for a Slide Show in Powerpoint. You can fade out one Gobo into the other automatically or Manually.

Sorry to be late to the dance guys... but here's some good news for you. Ballantyne-Strong (a world-wide leading manfaucturer of stage and broadcast lighting, including the Super Trouper followspots) has now released their 100W Neeva LED ellipsoidal (like a Source4). The 50 blew people's socks off, and the 100 will surely be even more impressive! They feature a rugged metal housing, DMX dimming and MORE! We have some fantastic pricing on both of these models. Interested parties should drop me a line and I'll send over some info.

For those looking for gobos.. more good news here... custom steel gobos, including design, are just $59! For those with LED fixtures... even better news... we now offer FULL COLOR glass encased plastic gobos for LED fixtures with rich, vibrant colors, crystal clear resolution, and a black that's... well... black. These are also just $59!!!

We used our Neeva 50w light for the first time the other night and it was amazing! Crisp, bright light without the heat. We were actually able to pack it up with 15 minutes of shutting it down. Also got the gobo made through NLFX. Tim did a great job working with me and in getting the gobo done in a timely manner. Greatly appreciated!

Goo...what distance from the fixture to the projection spot (location)?
How high into the air did you extend the unit?
How many feet from lens to the spot on floor/wall/ceiling where the gobo was vieweable?
I've got a floor distance from Unit to spot on the floor of approximately 32 feet. I'm curious how crisp the 3-letter monogram would appear. Room will be up-lit so overall room darkness will be perfect.

FYI: I'm considering a Source Four Jr. Zoom, too.

I use the Gobosource 100 watt led, ran me arount $750.00 plus or minus. I bought the $80.00 color glass kit. I love it. It has enought power to project color across a gym (long ways) in medium to high ambient light. It has a great focal adjustment and locking ring. It has a powerfull fan (but I don't know why) it produces almost no heat. It is very easy to change the gobo's and color wheels.

Gobo source has a ton of pre-made gobo's for $10-$12 and I pay $60.00 delivered for custom steel gobo wheels. They only ask for 10 days to fill orders at that price. The gobo size on my fixture is (M).

Thanks, Ray J. for giving me another avenue for window shopping. I'll go down that street soon.

It just depends on where the location of set up is. We had it set up in a few places at one venue. We had the stand up to about 7ft inside one venue with the monogram on the wall. It was very crisp. The next time we had the stand up to 12ft and were able to shine it on the ground about 25ft away. Still looked impressive. We even did a test shot about 40ft away on the venue outside wall...still a crisp, bright image.

Ray J. -- Could you provide similar infor for the following quote:

I looked at the Gobosource 100 and also specs on the GBS 150. I'm thinking the 150 might be what I need. I'm curious how it would compare to the Source Four Jr. zoom. Perhaps you or someone else could chime in?

Here is another Option.

Art,

Have you ruled out a projector?

No. Don't know that much about them, but there has been some discussion here on the forum. Complaint seems to be with the quality of the actual gobo and borders, and throw distance. Any suggestions?
