What brand/ type of light do you use as your gobo light? Where is the best place to get custom gobo's? Do you charge for this light or is it just part of your package? :sqerr:

I use the Martin Mania PR-1. I have the gobos made locally. I charge separately for this service.
I have been "shopping" this lighting FX also and have found that the most common is the "Martin Mania PR-1". However, I found the light and the custom gobos very expensive for the "return" in my market. Look through the "lighting" thread on this forum for past comments on this style of "FX".
A lot of guys use projectors. A lot more costly upfront but dont need gobos. Some dont even use a laptop connected to the projector, just a Card reader. Save the image on the card reader then hook up to the projector. Steve LeBlanc I think has pics posted on what he uses with the projector. I have an older Chauevt SX Gobo but and have to order the gobos so Im saving for a projector to get rid of having to order them.
What is feeding the signal to the projector in your solution? If it's a laptop, I say that is a much more costly solution and not any better quality than a card reader. Personally, I use a projector fed with my Video iPod.
