Getting permission to use ? from your clients

What if this, what if that? If that ever happens, and I bet it never will, I will deal with it then. If they are not supposed to be at a wedding, the B and G would probably know and tell them to leave.

The way I'm reading that was the 'someone' came with someone other than their spouse or other half. It's not our problem to know who each of our guests are or who they came with. Remember, I also provide a courtesy copy to my client and I do not list mine on websites. I do however use them with other clients. Someday, I may have a select few on a site.

Man...paranoia runs deep with some folks. The bottom line is DO NOT give people the ammunition to raise a fuss over your photos. Use COMMON SENSE. Make sure your photos are tasteful and respectful. Dont show people drinking or doing untoward things. You cant be sued without GOOD CAUSE. Someone has to show they were HARMED by your photos in order to bring suit. Simply using a photo of someone dancing or attending an event (that the event host has hired you to provide services for) wont result in a LAW SUIT!! Tasteful, respectful photos will keep you safe from problems.

And if you have any video/photographic content that you feel may be slightly questionable or possibly embarrasing towards the subjects filmed or photographed, don't even make it public in the first place.

I'm in agreement with Steve and Kirby. Let's face it it's easier to get forgiveness than permission and in most cases if you use common sense you won't need either
