ftp help, Please

Just put up a new website - www.maxxdj.com and It needs some tweeking. I'm editing my pages in Front Page, checking in my local files to make sure the changes have been saved, then, using Filezilla, clicking and draging from "local" to "remote". I get the "Overwrite?" window, choose yup and wait for the "Transfer Successful" message. I check the page online, refresh, check again and no changes. :sqerr: Am I overlooking something?:sqconfused:

If you still have the files just upload them to the public folder on your new host. If you no longer have the files your SOL unless your previous host has them on a backup somewhere.

Who is your new host BTW? I poke around and see where you files are supposed to be.
 
Maxx, I think you may speak to your hosting company squiggerdom.com

they should keep a backup of the whole site

I know that no matter what you do there should always be a copy

but I cant see where the problem is...

the site still comes up (a few faults but thats all)

anyway you should be talking to them...
 
UPDATE: Over the weekend, I changed to the CoreFTP progam and it clarified my view of what I was doing. Using that and some tips from you guys and others, I finally figured out how to get the transfers done. I have mangled a few things getting there but I at least have my new site up and can fix things as I learn and learn as I fix things.

Thanks for everybody's insights and assistance. The sight is www.maxxdj.com and I welcome any constructive thoughts you may have.
