Sort of a mashup of Mongo from Blazing Saddles and Rango the lizard. Maybe there's some marketing in there.

we have done many ethnic events and when you do there might naturally be some reservation initially. I helped with a West Indian event two white guys bringing in a a small unknown system called Dynacord. We most certainly were in the wrong hall per the looks of confusion on many folks faces. We came with the bump the heavy hitter favorites and my Biz PArtner is the Whitest Trini ever (they likely thought Trini Dave was our security guard). We knocked their sox off. We have done several big referrals from that one. Did a Jamaiccan party last week for an older crowd and brought the bangers from yesterday, Beres Hammond, Freddie McGregor etc etc. Didnt lead with Bob MArley only later much after we filled the floor and were riding the second set and dropped a BOb track just not the typical two or three an outsider would be the go to song. It was a jam lots of folks expect we are from or have lived in the country we provide for but often times we have never been on that soil.

Sorry bro, I mis-typed. You'll of course now have to change your handle to accomodate me. ;)
Also... Rick NEVER hesitate to call me bro! You should have my number. I DJ full-time now and have for about 8 months so hit me up anytime. I sure do appreciate all of your help and have no problem reciprocating.

HINT: your suggestion for prom went over TOO WELL!!!

Big ups to all my bros and sisters on ODJT!!!:)

Proformance

It's 1 min and 30 seconds from the end of the song and I haven't still made up my mind what the next song is going to be but you want me to engage this guest in conversation, answer his questions on my equipment, asked him what type of DJing he was doing and give him a tour of my equipment and let him browse my library if he so desires in order to not let myself look weak.

You must DJ completely different then I do.
Maybe you need to get yer panties from being all up in a wad!

Yes, it would seem I'm better prepared and able to handling multiple things simultaneously. I can in fact.. think, cue, mix, and converse all at the same time. I attribute it to experience... 30 seconds is enough for me.

If only I could be as cool as you are.....

...approachable would be a nice place to start.

Damn, the BS is getting deep in this thread -- too bad I left my boots in NY...
Why does everything have to be BS? It is a debate/discussion...let them at it! Sheesh!
