I've never seen one in operation, but based on the comments I've read, lots of DJs love those things. Isn't there anything that has come out since then that compares? There has got to be . . .

Thanks for the post. I was watching that and now it will probably bounce out of my price range.:sqeek::sqwink:

These look nice but I need LED with low power. I have not yet seen an LED roller that has decent light output. My most common venue only has a single 20 amp circuit and I haven't tripped the breaker yet but I know I'm close.

If it does trip I plan to tie wrap the breaker so it can't trip.
Yes, I am kidding.

What do you think this will sell for? Just curious.....

Yea, sorry...I just put it over $200.
And still got out bid.

Not all 'roller' lights are created equal. The Acrobat has an internal parabolic dish that has 14 little mirrors on it and that dish is bi-directional. That is what gives it the great coverage.

Now if someone could only produce a barrel fixture with an LED light-source, a parabolic dish and separate gobo / color wheels...

$255 I'm mad is missed it. I think fare market value is $300 - $350 in good condition.

$300 to $350 is a little steep; the selling price of $255 is about right. As time goes by, these get dirtier, clunkier, older and generally more temperamental. I own two of them, but I'm convinced that there *will* come a day when Acrobats are old news. The Acrobat is the '65 Thunderbird of DJ lighting effects... a classic for sure, but certainly not the last car anybody ever owned.

Randy you have two. Kirby wants a pair and Rob apparently hopes to gain one. There arent too many going around and most claim regret when selling them. I hope you get your backup.
