Finally looking to spend the money to get the speakers wrapped.

Make up your mind people. I've gotten beaten up for the way they look and decided to finally do something about it and now I'm taking a beating for doing something about it.

Yes, you should do something, but we've told you all along that wrapping them isn't the best option .. Duratex or bedliner is.

While we're on the subject of protecting speakers,
I want to buy a pair of speaker covers for my EV ZXA1 Subs.
Lowest price I can find is $59.99.
I am not going to spend $120 on speaker covers.

Anyone know of a cheaper alternative?

???

The only thing I can think of is if you can sew, make your own. I have some shipping blankets that would probably be the perfect material to use. I’ve used it to protect the other items I moved over the years. Now I brought the covers for first my powered JBLs, at 9 years old they still look like they are in excellent shape. Well worth the price I paid them and trust me I too didn’t want to pay for them too. Likely if I were to sell the speakers I would get all the money back spend on the covers.

You don't have money to put tires on your car and you want to spend money on covering your speakers?

Where are your priorities?

I can sew pretty well, but I would buy a used sewing machine for these.

Then you ain't likely gonna protect your speakers.

$120 for a pair of protective covers for a $1200.00 pair of speakers seems extremely reasonable.

I don't know what sparklers you use but I guarantee you the speakers I use are the Yamaha DSR 115's and they cost more now than when I first bought them. They are $999.99 each now.

So Mix.....any BEFORE and AFTER pics?

He did post some somewhere I can't seem to find them though...They kind of look like those grey faux leather jackets that were popular in the 80's
