On a side note we went to the Salvation Army and picked 4 names for their Forgotten Angels Tree. We specifically picked pre-teens and teens (2 boys and 2 girls) as these are the kids that are usually forgotten or picked last. They asked for very simple things, like coats, pants, socks, shirts, underwear and provided their sizes. We had so much fun shopping for them (and I hate shopping for the most part)... ;) at K-Mart.

While we were at K-Mart we decided to participate in a little Secret Santa fun. We went to the the layaway department and the 2 young men found us an order that had still yet to be paid off and picked up. It consisted of little kids toys and clothes, so we paid all but $1 of the remaining balance which was about $138. This kind of stuff gives me a flippin' rush, kind of like a gambler at a slot machine, only the payoff is much sweeter!

Here's the article that inspired us:

I used to work for a guy, God rest his soul, that every Christmas would go to the walmart and buy 10 grand in $100 gift cards, (he loved the way the cashier would look at him) and then he would go thru the store and give out the gift cards. We made a lot of cash in the bar biz. He would get so much joy out of giving the cards away that he would be on a natural high for days.

GREAT JOB Kirby!!!!
