I forgot to mention...I don't use one. I don't ever plan to use one either. They're just too tall for me. Besides, I need someplace to set my CDs. I currently borrow a table from the venue, but I am thinking about providing my own when we get a large enough vehicle.

You can use a table AND a facade. But like you, I'm short 5'7" with the right shoes on. I would have to custom-make mine to be shorter than most of the pre-fabbed variety.

You see, it would drive the J Mac nuts, I think. He's 6' and we hardly ever agree on things when it comes to height.
Then again, maybe a facade that is just tall enough to cover the CD cases would work. Then again, we use a tall rack on a table. I'm also thinking that the facade might require even more space than we get. As it stands now, we've been running into venues this year where lighting is impossible to use due to low space. There was even one event where we had to lie our speakers under the 8' table that the venue provided!
I'm ranting now. I guess I've really gotta think more about the whole facade thing. I guess that's why I'm kinda curious as to who uses them. :sqembarrassed:
I use a facade and love it. My wires are still very neat behind it. It just gives that dj booth feeling.
Don't get me wrong I like facades, as they do serve a purpose....but I feel the same way as you. The less of a barrier you have...the more inviting it does seem.

Mines a little bit different. I always bring a 4 Foot table, dont like it longer than that wether venue provides one or not.
I then put a Black Cloth over the table. Then I put my SKB Slant Rack and 4 Case Rack side by side on the 4 footer, fits perfectly.
Then I Put my DIY Facade ( 4 foot wide Wood and Black Carpet) on the Floor so it only covers the botom 3 inches of my cases( Tall enought to cover th wires coming out the back). So It looks like I have a Wooden Carpeted Base instead of a Table Cloth, but my Slant Rack, Amp Case are all in plain sight and I am not hiding.

Yes, I do and currently have two options to choose from. One lighted and one solid. I also have plans to create a few more with some twists.
Yes a Gundort....I suppose its a barrier if you set it up like a barrier. i wrap mine close to the table sides and use a 4 ft table, so it's not the "great wall".
