I don't think that is the same kind of trojan ....:sqconfused:

Yes Shirl, but you got to remember for us guys it only takes one word to make things go South quite fast :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Jeff that way you have better control

its ok for a home user than a business using xp pro

but hey each to thier own

for me to do a correct job xp pro is what I tell business clients as xp home you cant even manage users like xppro can

Dennis, just what extra control, as I have a copy of XP Home, XP Pro, and Vista Home Premium, and for my business, I can't really say anymore than Home is necessary. I prefer Vista, but really want 7 with multi touch and 64 bit native.

Jeff,

Multi touch, is not OS specific on Windows. With the right software, anything is multi touch :)

On a Mac, it is OS specific (as of this writing, to the best of my knowledge).

True native 64 bit is easy -- BUT, MS still keeps the 16 and 32 bit thunking layers for backward compatibility -- so, we have to live with that, until the bozos give up 98, 2K and XP ;)

MS is still pushing a 32bit version for Win 7? How retarded the only way we're going to get away from 32 bit is to force people to stop using it. Most don't know the difference anyhow and don't realize that their dual core and run 64 bit anyhow. Actually I retract, Win 7 is supposed to have a smaller foot print than Vista so maybe 32 bit is a good idea until the next version.

Isn't OS X 64 bit native and hasn't it been since they transitioned to Intel?

No, OS X is pseudo 32 bit (with a 16 bit thunk as well). Linux is the same.

Windows is the only consumer OS, that has full native 64 bit capability.

Doesn't matter -- nobody is gonna compile 64 bit native. It won't work on anything but 64 bit systems...

I flip one switch on my project (full 64), and it won't run on your machine, unless yer using 64 bit OS.

BTW, I have Win7 -- no smaller footprint. Buy new hardware :)

I had the same problem as Steve. I transfered all of my files to an external, uninstalled all programs and had a reformat done which was long overdue. Some people do this yearly just to keep things clean.

Honestly, you folks need to stop going to the porno sites... :sqerr:

Buy the DVD's from Adam and Eve, if the "loved one" won't comply -- much easier, and no trojans required... ;)

Almost reminds me of the first time I got Herpes years ago. Doc said it was incurable. Apparently, he did not hear of Acid Magic :sqwink:

Be careful how you apply it...

Every 3 months here...I have kids

I was re-installing some windows files last week and I left the XP disc in the tray. My 5 year old son booted up the computer and followed the instructions, pressed any key to boot from disc, pressed F to format and pressed C like the PC told him. He was very proud of reading all the instructions by himself. I was not so thrilled but hey it was due anyway. Lesson learned, pick up after myself.
