What software do u use to track your website visitors?

I have the Go Daddy premium package and can get all of that information there. Unfortunately I can only get as granulated as the IP address.

Did you see me?:sqcool:

No I have 40 visitors (including the SE bots) that have visited my site since 10:30am

There are a couple that could be you... :(

Recently I've been running Google Analytics here just to test out it and get a feel for it. Haven't play around much with their control panel or setting goals it's mostly nice to see where traffic is coming from and what makes people leave.

Other than that we run the standard awstats which is what I'm used to and it produces nice purdy graphs. :D

I use Tracewatch on all my sites, It's a little better than GA because it is server side script, which means it can even track visitors if they happen to have JS Disabled.. it also gives you a list of pages visited by each visitor...

GA is great because you can set goals and track visitors from the search term they get to your site, to the moment the enter their info into your form... and give you a percentage of visitors that convert to leads...

we use Webalizer

its free and from my hosting company

I use statcounter. For as useful as it is, and free, I've been using it for around 5 years now. Detailed stats are only available for the last 500 visitors (free version) but it does keep totals, etc. forever.

That's cool... do you have a website for it?

Ok, I've seen that one.. Cool thanks.. I actually signed up for it but never installed it... what kind of info does it give you on each visitor?

Some examples are attached.

Yep, I know about webalizer, but it does not do as an extensive job as I need it to do...

It does about 50% of what Google does or probably even less...

One nice feature of Statcounter is that it sticks with your site if you transfer hosts, etc. Not necessary for a lot of people, but over 5-6 years I've switched from two shared hosts to now running my own servers and while I do obviously have log files, etc. from my dedicated servers, Statcounter still has all my stats for all my sites through everything.

Just my .02, but I'm sure doesn't apply to most.
