Do you hang lights from your speaker stands?

I dont care for the look of lights on a speaker stand. I also feel for effect placing on a speaker stand is just not high enough off the ground.

Well yeah, not stock. Some length and stability modifications are a must.

We did this past weekend. We hung 2 small elation spots from one of our stands. We were pretty high up on the stage so it gave a nice and perfect wash over the floor with them on one side and our other lights on the T bar on the other. But normally with the stands on the floor, they are not high enough to hang anything on.

Here is what it looked like

...where exactly are these speakers pointing at...??? :sqerr:

Speaker stand with only 1 light per speaker stand looks okay if done right. 2 would be pushing it in my opinion. However, if the room is dark enough you will not even see what they are attached to so I think that is what matters.

I did a wedding on Saturday past and rather then put the lights on the speakers stands, I put the light stand behind the speaker stand. The lights were above the speakers pointing down. I also used the new Skrim King on the speaker stands (which were out front) to hide both stands and wires. Even though I was using two stands it appeared that I was only using one stand and the lights looked great.

DJMM33 you're talking about hanging one light per speaker stand, what about the new "4Play" or "4 Bar" light from Chauvet.
