From my experience most people looking for "new" country are more looking for 90s pop country like Allan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks etc.

If they are really looking for newer stuff mabye Chicken And Biscuts by Cold Ford and Gord Bamford, anything Johnny Reid, Gord Bamford - My Daughter’s Father, Emerson Drive - Let Your Love Speak
