I'm sorry for my rants on this thread. I get it now Rick. You just wanted to show some others what type of gear not to use at a wedding and how not to dress. That's fine. The sad part is those DJ's may never change. They may never join this forum or DJ CHAT and find out what makes for a really good DJ. So they will remain the same. What's also sad is another DJ on one of these forums said he felt that spending $150.00-$200.00 on a DJ network asscociation was a waste of money. For me that's one of the best investments i've made since i came back to DJing. If you can't see spending $150.00 a year to hang out with other professionals to learn more about how to become a better DJ (regardless of what level of a DJ you are), then i say you shouldn't be a DJ. That's peanuts compared to the wealth of knowledge i've gained since i joined the NJDJNA.

The one thing i'm sure of those DJ's in the pics certainly aren't full time DJ's. For them this is just a way to earn some extra cash. The real sad part is how many more because of the modern technology will we see like this? Such DJ's wouldn't even be around if they didn't have clients looking to book them. For some clients as we know all they want is the cheapest thing they can find. So for this bride being so cheap this is what she got. Sad but true fact.

Why sir? I was making an apology and just stating facts. Things that are happening in this business today. My question for all here is how serious are you about DJing? For some it's just a way to make some extra money. So their setup and the clothes they wear aren't important to them.

For me I care that the client is happy they booked us and their guest had a good because of the job we did. Does this always happen? Of course not. Some crowds just aren't dancing crowds. Some times there's nothing you can do but grin and bear it. I take it seriously because I never know who might be there and later need a DJ.

Mix you were offered true web management and SEO opportunities and you pretty much squandered the opportunity away (you definitely need major help) yet you continue to offer advice as if you have legit to give. You need to fix your house and then share the story.

I was actually thinking of going with Howard the Duck, but Rick Ryan is 3 syllables, so I'm not sure it would work...

If we put two RR's like RRyan the Duck, we could possibly get away with that... :sqlaugh:
