my mic's are the old SHURE 58's which I never replaced
and I still use my JBL TR-125 speakers that are more than 15 years old and still sounding great!

the only gear I use that's REALLY old (but NOT considered vintage)
is ME!

:sqconfused:

Still have the original Bose L1 Beta :D

~ Yamaha NS-1000 studio monitors (four cabinets) used in my music listening studio matched with an audiophile quality Benchmark DAC-1 USB

~ Yamaha NS-500 studio monitors (four cabinets) used in my home gym with a Yamaha CR-1020 receiver

~ Yamaha NS-500 studio monitors (two cabinets) and Klipsch signature series studio monitors (two cabinets) with a Yamaha CR-1020 receiver in my master bedroom

circa 1977 - 1980

All of the NS-500's have had the woofers professionally refoamed

All of the NS-1000's are 100% original. The Beryllium tweeters are still astounding!

Most of my stuff is fairly new....

But I have a TASCAM Portastudio that uses standard cassette tapes to record 4 channels at a time.

I have a pair of tube large diaphragm microphones that's been said to fall between the Neumann U47 and AKG C12, but it's still being made - and mine are fairly new (M-Audio Sputnik).

I have an old Peavey Twin DeltaFX which is older, but I'm not sure I'd call it 'vintage'.

I used to have a Radio Shack mixer that I did 'voice over' tapes for my GF's.

I used to have a Marantz Tape Deck that may still be floating around someplace.

I still have Technics SL1200 MKII's, and one's signed by Norman Cook (Fat Boy Slim) - but I'm not sure they're 'vintage' either.

I've got some minidisc players... including about 100-150 pre-recorded minidiscs... but I'm not sure that's 'vintage' either...

I have LOTS of other gear... but most of it is fairly new technology.

My tops are home built, the originals were made in the 70's they have been redone a few times but the cabinets are original will never part with these.

Have a pair of the '70s vintage RS Mach I speaker systems. Bought 'em new in 1978. Started out DJing with them in the early '90s. Have never had to go inside em ~ they still work like new. :)

Fred,
If you take those things to a Gig, they will put you in a Straight Jacket! :sqlaugh:

That's prob'ly true, lol. I DJed with 'em for a couple years though. 100 watt RS receiver to feed 'em. They were the first decent home stereo speakers I owned. :)

oldest are 1953 Altec's. Still is use as midrange in my home theater system.
I literally have a couple pickup loads of vintage Altec speakers, cabs ,and amps/processing.

I have a lot of semi old car audio....

Alpine 7909 cd player/tuner in my z (300zx twin turbo).....Phoenix Gold eq215, Audiocontrol 24xs crossover, two Rockford Fosgate Punch 100 amps, driving old Boston Acoustics Pro 5.0 components, a single 10" JL Audio (10W6) in a stealthbox.

I have an old Alpine 7903 cd player in my Galant vr4, with an Alpine 3331 eq, Precision Power (PPI) Sedona amp driving SAS components, and a Rockford Punch 100 running a single JL Audio 10" sub in the trunk...

notice a pattern here...? Got to do a classic setup with alpine, etc, in my 1966 Cadillac coupe this spring too.....

In the house....hmmmm....have an old Adcom preamp, going through an Adcom amp, and vintage Klipschhorns and some smaller KG4 speakers......sounds great!
