Short of putting on a chicken suit, I'd pretty much do anything or play anything if it made 'em happy.

I have all those songs on my iPod, and I dig them :)

If I ever hire a DJ from here -- Steve might get get the nod, unless there are others willing to make me happy, and leave their opinions at home :sqwink:

I understand and concur with the second part but that first part is just sick (in a bad way).

Bride didn't want me to play the chicken dance last week, but when that cute little 4 year old girl with the pretty eyes said please, how could I not. And I told the guests that too. She became the center of attention for a bit. She got the Hokey Pokey too. :)

OH sure, and I bet if some cute little honey in bunny ears sat down next to you, you'd offer her some Popcorn from your Popcorn box.:sqerr:

There is a song called "Daddy's Little Girl"?

Actually played it last month for the first time in a long time
sounded good after all that time NOT playing it.

I'm more grateful for declining requests for
Butterly Kisses!
:sqembarrassed:

i do about 50 weddings a year, myself. it's been about 10% of the time it gets played now.
It's not something i will throw in to get people dancing. but if there is a lot of young kids..., i'll consider it...or obviously if it gets requested.

if the hokey pokey got requested and they liked it, i would probably play the chicken dance.

I could care less how often it gets played. If I thought it would be more successful, i'd play it more. I am not "too cool" to play it.

It does show up on a number of do not play lists. A lot more than in years past.

Scott's right. We've been seeing more "no chicken dance etc" written on the wedding planners than ever before. :)
