I did a corporate event along with my sister on Saturday where she was the DJ, and I provided the up lights. They had an EV company handling the Projector and Screen, and audio for speeches and video contracted through the hotel. Went to check what speaker they were using, and it's a JBL EON 712. EVERY time I work an event with an EV company, they are using JBL Speakers. Is that the industry standard, or are just the EV companies in the MD/DC/VA area typically using JBL?
Also, why do EV companies put those SCRIM Speaker Condoms all over the speakers? is it to hide the JBL Logo, or do they really think that just makes it look better?
I have never seen a point to covering the speakers up.

Oh the lighting was a CORRAL Under Water theme at this event. They loved the colors. I did have some problems with a couple of my lights somehow changing to all WHITE out of the blue. Had to walk over, and change them back. For some reason they would go out of the SLAVE mode, and just revert into an all white setting which was strange. I think some of my lights are just getting old and developing quarks. I ran two sets of lights in Master/Slave mode
.
