Maybe you aren't doing a lot either.
Now who's doing the assuming? LOL....
Caliper. Laughable. Me thinks you mean "caliber."
Yes, you are right.
Maybe not enough of your clients demand, want or expect very much in the line of structure or planned events.
My clients do the same types and number of events as any other traditional wedding client. They demand, want, and expect the amount of structure, detail, and responsiveness that is required to do the job, and do it right. And no, pre-determined and printed times are not a requisite for achieving that goal...
In the end, they are very satisfied with the results, and a long lone of satisfied clients, references, and testimonials speaks to that fact.
If that is based on experience you either have not conveyed your plan very well
My itineraries are in most all cases, more detailed and easy to follow than any itinerary provided by a coordinator, and when I know ahead of time I am working with the coordinator, there is a lot of communication with them in the weeks prior-to the event to make sure their itinerary is in-sync with mine.
It doesn't get any clearer than this. The issue with coordinators isn't in paperwork or how either party plans for an event - it is about how they handle themselves (or can't) in-the-moment or under-pressure.
or are unfortunately dealing with an unprofessional coordinator.
In some cases, this may be the case, sure.
Just admit it Rox - some people can actually GET THE JOB DONE SUCCESSFULLY without using your personal playbook!
Now THERE'S a concept to wrap your mind around!
