Mod to correct focus issue: To change the lens position to obtain maximum focus range, all you do is unscrew the lens, run a small blade around between the tube and the retainer spring and pop out the lens. Then just place the lens in the rear end of the tube, flat side out and replace the retainer spring. That’s all there is to it!

I am trying to do this and there's a silicone seal around what appears to be a plastic ring with a 1" gap but it isn't budging - any thoughts?
