I have a couple weddings coming up where the couple has indicated they like New Country music and line dancing. I don't get a lot of demand for such and therefore am somewhat limited in the music I know. I would appreciate if anyone can recommend some great music that falls under this description.
Thanks in advance, Dean

As far as Line Dancing is concerned:

Boot Scootin Boogie by Brooks & Dunn
Cotton Eyed Joe by Rednex
Baby Likes to Rock It by Tractors
Watermelon Crawl by Tracy Byrd

Those folks in Texas are lost in the 90s dontcha know? Hell they still think Brooks and Dunn are still together................

Hey Dean, go to www.americasmusiccharts.com and click on the Country charts banner. Then you can hear a snippet of each of the songs listed on the chart. Lots of time we hear music on the radio and like it but don't even know the name or artist and song. This way you can get an idea. If you're still not satisfied, check out Billboard Hot 100 (Country) and Singles Charts.

Obviously, if they like line dancing (didn't say if they liked only Country), you already are aware of the old standby dances: Cupid Shuffle, Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide, and Wobble. There's another one out also by the name of WOP.

New Country:

C.O.U.N.T.R.Y -- Locash Codboys
You're All That Matters To Me (slow dance) -- Miss Willie Brown
Somethin' 'Bout A Truck -- Kip Moore
Red Solo Cup (Edited Version) -- Toby Keith
Love's Gonna Make It All Right -- George Strait
Georgia Peaches -- Lauren Alaina

Dean, I live in "Music City USA" and tell my clients flatly "Country clears the dance floor". Not that I won't play it but any time I get that request I always temper their expectations beforehand. That said, focus on Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan (Shake it for me), Toby Keith (red solo cup), reach back to Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, and Darius Rucker (although those aren't dancefloor tunes). Biggest piece of advice is to make certain they know you'll do what they want, but, that country will probably not fill the dance floor. Oh yea, "Hillbilly Bone" is thought to work on the dancefloor but I've yet to see it work, even once. Good luck with it.

By the way, you will need to reach into the deep catalog; Hank Williams Jr (Family Tradition), Brooks & Dunn (Boot Scoot, among others), Hank Sr., George Strait (2-stepping and slow pieces), and Alan Jackson. Just fill them in every now and then and keep some good dance tunes going and you'll be fine.

And, "Friends In Low Places" - Garth Brooks
"Copperhead Road" - Steve Earl is a good one, too, and they do a country line dance to it.

He did say "NEW" country music.
English Language is very ambiguous he did say "New Country music and line dancing." that can mean new for dancing music and just line dancing music as well. They don't come out with New Line Dance Country Songs as they do in other genres.

Here's on country song that even works up here in the Northeast..."Save A Horse Ride a Cowboy" by Brooks & Dunn. It freekin awesome. Don't forget to get the Zac Brown Band in there. "Free" is a great slow song. Chicken Fried, and Sic 'Em on a chicken are good fun songs for cocktail end of dinner. Git R Done!

Save a Horse even though a great classic is not considered a Line Dance and is as old as the Hills, about 6 years old. It still packs dance floors down here though. Redneck Woman is another good floor packer. Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson is another good one.

ave a Horse is NOT Brooks & Dunn. That is Big & Rich.

A couple more that will illicit dance floor fever (not new, but they work):

Marty Stuart - Hillbilly Rock
Sara Evans - Suds In The Bucket

Try some Kentucky Headhunters as well.

I've also seen a bunch do a rather interesting dance to Skynyrds Call Me The Breeze.

I saw some folks doing some weird dance to Blake Shelton's Some Beach. Bit slower, but you'll get some of the older folks out there.

You have a lot of options, because most "country folks" I know, define "new" as anything since about 1980. They can line dance to almost everything, so keep it popular, and they'll figure it out.
