No I'll leave the gang bangers to you. I don't do such events. I steer clear away from such clients. I get that you have all these wonderful fluffy things to sell to a client if they want such things. Not a problem but before you can get to that you must show them that you're the right DJ for the job. Ultimately the reason a client looks to book a DJ is to play music for them at their event. Like I said sir what do you do if you don't have those things to sell? If you don't have those things it's still about selling what you have to offer for a good price. Whatever that is to you.And yet again, you miss the point. Being a great DJ is a prerequisite, or a requirement. It's just the beginning and makes you "just the music guy". You won't get out of low-ball territory until you understand how to, not only deliver on the music, but to deliver on all the other stuff as well. With your attitude and apparent aptitude, you will never, ever, ever be anything more. Enjoy your crap wages, crap gigs and gang-banger clientele.

KILLER IDEA!! "Book today and we'll throw in free napkins for your event!"![]()
Some are good enough at selling themselves that they can get paid more then the DJ who has all these add ons to sell to a client. The other important part to this is knowing how much to sell such things for so you can get people wanting to buy what you're offering without hurting you.
