ADJ Starburst Wash lights , question ***resolved***

Trying to work out about this, looking at getting this, but due to lack of floor space, want to mount on the wall behind me, but use the remote control to control it.
The instructions say that you need to first switch on the unit and set it to use the IR control, which is fine.

BUT, as this is going to be in an akward position, needing steps to reach it, when you power it off, does it remember the last setting, in otherwords, do I have to set the IR setting manually on the unit everytime, or just once

also the floor switch, how long is it and and can I extend it, the only other place is in front of my rig and I need a long run to use my foot, hence why I want the IR control

also this is a stand alone no DMX (whatever that is ) probably only run it on sound to light
its for my DJ basement the area is small and the ceiling low

I got the answer, ADJ actually replied back to me today, if you set it to IR, it remembers it till you turn it off !

So looks like I'm buying this baby

ordered picking up next week
