RebelSoul :), I originally planned on trying to stay away from DMX, but I got sucked in pretty quickly! ADJ fixtures have an alternative control called UC3. It offers an easy way to make a few changes to the lighting programs, and it is also available in wireless. If you haven't bought anything yet, check out UC3. It might just be the way you want to go.

Cheers!

I want to add a lighting set-up to my DJ set-up. What should I get 1st? Want the whole package. I want to start doing wedding , proms , etc.

Chauvet Slimpack 56 system is something we find very common. It comes complete with 4 Slimpar 56 RGB, 1 Obey3 DMX controller, 4 DMX cables and a padded carry bag that fits everything (rather snugly). As noted by others, the 4 bar is a nice item too but I personally prefer the Slimpack just for the option of being able to put the 4 fixtures where i want them. The 4 bar has all 4 fixtures on one bar and they cannot be split up. Add a few more LED pars when you have the spare cash and you can begin to use this for an uplighting system as well as your basic wash fixtures. Just my opinion . :)

Lots of choices as Steve said for a facade. I have 2 different kinds. One that is made of wood with black carpet over it and a lighted facade. The lighted one I bought you need the right lights to place inside the facade to make it look right. The facade by itself cost me $495.00. I got it from KPODJ.COM and the proper lights to go inside are the ADJ WIFLY BAR RGBA. I got 2 of those at a private sale from Musically Yours In Hackensack, NJ for $230.00 each plus tax. The normal price is $399.00 each. They are battery powered and wireless too. You must charge the light and it will last for 8 hours.

The lighted facade is very sturdy and comes in 3 sections. You can always get another section if you like. I'm not telling you what to buy but just giving you some options depending on your budget. The carpeted on sells for less then $150.00 plus tax.

We have a surprise 80th birthday party to do and will be using the lighted facade along with those lights. I wilol take some pictures at the event. Great to hear you want to have a good clean nice looking setup. That's great news!
