    Physical social game for parties

Hi DJs, this forum kindly accepted my post on our dance visuals software "Visikord" a few months back. If I may, I'd like to let you know about another feature we made for DJs who use projection/TV screens. It's an 80's "Bricks" game (like Breakout/Arkanoid) played with a whole body solo or in...

Visikord Kinect sensor thingy is COOL

Hi Steven, no Xbox is not needed -- just the Kinect and the laptop (running Windows 7 or 8). The Kinect plugs in to the PC's USB port. There are lot of used Kinects available, in GameStop or on Amazon they sell for around $25. If the Kinect doesn't come with power/USB adapter (many used ones...

Visikord Kinect sensor thingy is COOL

Thanks for the review and for the great pic Rick! Happy to hear the kids liked it. Did you have a chance to turn on beat detection for the games and for pulsing in freestyle mode?

Visikord Kinect sensor thingy is COOL

Well it's true Mike it actually isn't made for people who are great dancers -- they don't need software. :) It's more for people who just like to move to music, and for kids. (Although dancers good in latin dances usually make a good show with it.) By the way we do have a 21-day money back...

Visikord Kinect sensor thingy is COOL

Thank you for the purchase and for the post Rick. If you get a chance I'd definitely recommend connecting your music source to the Visikord laptop via audio cable (so the software can do beat detection) and letting the kids play the Starfall beat game. Cheers, Davor

Video Jocks "Iron Man" photo viewer

Thanks GJ! Still working out the details but should be as simple as swiping and pointing on the cell phone (for the guest), and just pointing to a folder with pics for the operator. In the testing it feels cool to use it. Agreed re Iron Man/RDJ... The above is an unlisted page just to get...

Video Jocks "Iron Man" photo viewer

Hi DJs, I'm testing a new feature in our "Visikord" software -- a futuristic UI photo browser, Tony Stark style. It works like viewers on phones/tablets but instead of thumbs on glass you use hands in the air on an invisible surface at a fixed distance from the screen (like a virtual touch...

Video Jocks Interactive DJ software for *live* dance video screen effects + beat matching games

Thanks Rick I really appreciate it! The software runs on Windows only, doesn't need a top-of-the line laptop, and it uses a videogame motion-control camera called Kinect (of Kinect for XBox360 fame, but it doesn't use the XBox, just the Kinect "eye", which plugs into your laptop's USB). New...

Video Jocks Interactive DJ software for *live* dance video screen effects + beat matching games

Hi Jeff, thank you for the opportunity. I am a software developer who likes music and movement (I'd say dance too if I could dance) and visual FX but I'm not a DJ. I made the 1st cut of this interactive music visualizer in 2011, with the help of a friend. A couple of DJ friends in Santa Barbara...

Video Jocks Interactive DJ software for *live* dance video screen effects + beat matching games

Greetings DJs. My apologies if posting as a gear vendor is against the forum rules. We are a 2-person software shop making an application for DJs who use a video screen on their shows -- it is software for interactive visual entertainment where people on the dance floor dance together on the...
