Denon DJ Prime 4 G2 Standalone DJ System

Just when you think it cant any more
pricy.
Denon now has released a unit.

The Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2 is made for performance-focused DJs who care about how a mix feels as much as how it sounds. Building on the power, flexibility, and quality of the original PRIME 4, it's a feature-packed four-deck standalone system that can effortlessly handle everything from vibey daytime raves to elegant evening events.

At its core, PRIME 4 G2 combines proven hardware with a future-proof mix of functional features and innovative technology. The first-ever DJ product to feature MPCe multi-zone pads, PRIME 4 G2 enables DJs to engage and expressively alter FX, activate hot cues with multiple roll values, access Engine Lighting controls and overrides, and switch up performance elements in real time with the powerful multi-FX pad mode.

The PRIME 4 G2 also features on-board Stems rendering and playback with dedicated Instrumental/Acapella buttons, four-part Stems Pad Mode with FX, Stem Level EQ mode, and an enhanced FX workflow. Additional hardware upgrades include full-size 8" jog wheels and a built-in DMX interface with a dedicated lighting pad mode for complete control of the on-board Engine Lighting system.

OmniSource functionality brings standalone and computer-based DJ software into a seamless unified mixing experience. With built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth audio, balanced XLR outputs, and USB connectivity, PRIME 4 G2 is a single system that's ready for at-home sessions, club performances, and events of any scale.

they're trying to attract the club guys who use usb, don't want to be seen with a laptop, but still want a screen... unfortunately for Denon, Pioneer owns the nightlife/club dj category with their cdj 3000's. This is a direct response to Pioneer's flagship controller, the xdj-az which is $3500, so this is seen as a bargain technically. With that said, if you're using a laptop, pioneer flx 10 is the best for mobiles right now.

I liked the Flx10 but thats more then I would like to spend. So I will with my Pioneer DDJ-MK250 mixer.
plus at my age I just Sold Off my JBL Eons, Tops and Sums. All QSC Tops and bottom's. Even sold of my QSC GX3 amp with Gemini GS 3250 Columns.

This is not for me. Too many options! I guess if you are mixing every day on this unit you will eventually remember all the options available to you. I personally don't like all the shift keys and double taps needed to access features.

I'm surprised it doesn't come with cup holders. It is certainly big enough.
