Has anybody here heard of a site called Fash?

To many ads? Support ODJT and see no ads!

I got 2 emails from a site called Fash. Both were unusual to me. Both listings were with a crowd size under 50. The first one was needing a DJ to do a wedding in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. It was to be for 5 hours. The guests count was about 30 people and it said 12 and under. Their budget was for $600-750. The other one said 3 DJs were interested I believe and you couldn't get the info for the event but that it was going to be a birthday party in Brooklyn and that's it. I'm not saying I would answer any of the emails from Fash because I know sites like that they want you to pay them so you can connect with the client. My experience with such sites leads to a dead end and they got your money.
 
How much money of yours have they taken. Waiting for you too make up something. In other words pull something out of you A##.

You didn’t sign up for it so it’s likely a scam or a site showing fake leads and trying to get you to sign up and pay for the hope of what appear to be low quality leads.

FASH and BARK both suck and are a waste of time. Generally fake leads, or very low quality leads. Like how did they even get the lead info because who is going to click on FASH.COM and put their info in to find a DJ when plenty of other reputable sites show up on a google search. Makes you wonder how are they event finding prospects? It's similiar to Eventective.com which is also garbage fake leads site.

What I remember is on Craigslist there used to be plenty of ads on there looking for a DJ to do an event for them and they were looking for cheap entertainment. Rarely do I see any clients looking for a DJ on there which I sometimes are on there looking for other things besides someone looking to book a DJ.
 
I just looked at my email address and saw another email from Fash. I wonder how they got my email address. I looked at the event and it's in Newark, NJ. I didn't check the date. It's for a birthday party for 5 hours. The budget is $300-400 and it cost to get the info $30.45. Now a listing like that is for a DJ who's desperate for work or a newbie just starting out.
 
Right You should snag it up. Good pay for somebody with no overhead.

You can see how this is not a DJ hiring business, it's a money making business.

I just got another email from them. This listing was about a graduation party in Islep NY. The event is for 6 hours and thei guests count is 100-149 people. The time for the event it said 6 hours. Their budget is $500-600. I know I'm not the most expensive DJ around but damn all I see on this site are potential clients not willing to pay at least a decent amount of money to get a DJ to do an event for them.

This site reminds me of Craigslist some years back. Most of the people looking to book a DJ wanted to pay a ridiculously low price to get a DJ to do an event for them. On top of the person looking to spend no more than $600, you also have to pay a decent amount of money to get the potential clients info. I didn't find out how much Fash charged to get the info. I just know the other one I saw the cost was just over $30.

Here's the other part of the whammy. You pay the money and there's no guarantee you will get the booking. For such a low budget, I say it's not worth it. If the amount was $800-1,000 maybe it might be worth paying to get the info.

I saw one email from them about someone needing a DJ to do a wedding I believe. That listing for what the client wanted to pay had several different prices. I couldn't figure that listing out. The listing I believe went from $700 to $1,200. I couldn't understand what the price they wanted to pay a DJ.

Sonic I was looking at what I saw was a price a client wanted to pay and the cost to get the info for the lead. By the time you paid for the lead and if you get the booking to do the event, I say it wouldn't be worth it. Keep in mind there's loading the vehicle with your gear and then you got to drive to the event which will cost you gas. What about tolls you might have to pay which may not be a couple of dollars. Then when the event is done you have to pack up and drive to where you have to go. Thus costing you more money for gas. Also it's about figuring out how far you have to drive to get to and from the event. Some budgets from what I saw just not worth it.

Looks to me like she was hoping to pay somewhere between $750 and $1200, and could likely be persuaded to spend more for someone skilled as sales and marketing

They keep sending me these emails and most of them are good distance from where I live. Their budgets make it not worth it because it would cost a good amount of money for gas to get to and from these events. Not to mention there's a fee for them giving you the clients info.
