From a thread about what mix bought, I already expect to kicked and spat upon....but here goes.
I've been using my current controller for 7 or 8 years no, zero issues, but it's time to update/upgrade it. It's a Numark IDJ3 - click so you don't have to google. Please, feel free to laugh if you want.
I do weddings, school dances and misc parties, i don't scratch or use effects, etc. I like the ability to use real buttons/sliders over a mouse. I also have a mixer for the mics, second computer, phone or whatever else needs an input (or output). Running it off USB has never been a problem. I use VDJ.
Research shows me i want a denon MC4000..but they quit making them and not sure i want to go used off ebay or something. And they're asking about what a new option would be.
considering - Numark Mixtrack Platinum (4 decks is just a plus, the digital readout is cool looking, had success with numark products)
Roland DJ 202 or pioneer DDJ400
Open to other ideas, but trying to stay under $300. Gonna add more uplights and more lighting, and i'm not printing money anymore since that treasury agent paid me a visit.
What benefit, for what use it for, would something twice the price give me?
