Hahaha what have I awoken here? You guys got beef?

This is a constant saga...

To your original question, if it were my money I'd buy the Mixars. I use the filters on my Pioneer a lot, so keeping that feature would be important. And I don't find having Bluetooth built in particularly compelling. I also think it's important to have control over your fader curve.

Full EQ might be nice, but I don't think it's a big enough feature to sway me over the Mixars in this case.

Ok on a side note i just got a rane tt57sl and need help on how to get firmware update . rane does not have it in their relic page

Are you trying to use that mixer to run Serato DJ? Or an old copy of Scratch live?

It won't run the modern versions of Serato on that machine.

I read if it gets firmware update it will work in new live

Scratch Live hasn't been supported since 2015. If you find a version of it, it might still run. But Scratch Live won't run on any modern operating system that I know of.

Serato DJ is the current Serato product, which that mixer won't support.

Are you sure it wasn't the Rane TTM57mkII instead? That one is supported by Serato DJ.

NO it was the one I have that was said would work if it got firmware update . the mk11 is the newer modal of mine

Then I guess you look for where that was said and maybe they point to the update that may or may not exist.

Pickup a used Rane SL2 (around $100 on eBay) and use your existing mixer if you want to stay with Serato DJ.

That's how I used my 57 until I bought the S9. Just like any other analog mixer with the SL2 driving the Serato.

So I hooked up my ds1 and its perfect .my main goal was having great sliders , I have dicers so I'm not losing anything .

If you are using another device to power serato, that's the equivalent of Steve's suggestion. You're basically just using the Rane as analog. It's a well built mixer. It'll work well like that.

Yes I gambled on it being stand alone but new it was a great analog mixer either way. I have several other mixers but they don't fit in my coffin box. I am not trying to put together a fancy high dollar setup .I love old school hardware yet still like to have some new school options .hence my control vynle .
