Square Dance Hoedown!

So, I've volunteered my services to a fundraiser. The theme is 'Square Dance Hoedown!'

I would love some song suggestions as square dancing is not my specialty.

I'm not sure where to start, but one idea might be looking around your community if there is a square dance club. If there is one, they might be able to help you with some songs and maybe even more important, help you find a caller for the dance.

The people in attendance are not 'professional square dancers', so not sure if we would need a square dance caller.

I know I can play 'Rocky Top', but that's where it stops.

You can square dance to country, rap, rock, hip-hop, folk and I'm sure everything in between. If they are newcomers, then you really need a caller and I would defer to them what they think would work both for that level and your area.

Wes, do not try to do a square dance without a caller. In fact, I don't see how you could have a square dance without a caller as they're probably more important than the actual music.
