Are you from the Caribbean? Have you lived in those communities? Have you Produced Dancehall Parties?

No, and no and no.

Most of US are Americans by birth -- so other than a weeks holiday stint on an island, I don't think most of us give a hoot about your culture...

If you like it that much, what are you doing here?

Except for Native Americans all people in North America are derived from or are immigrants.

I don't think you can count "native Americans", because they came from somewhere else as well.

In my case, my ancestors on my Mom's side fought in the revolutionary war (Russian via Dutch). What did you you folks do?

Oh wait, you moved to Canada for free health care :(

Put on some George Strait, and enjoy some good music :)

I'm thinking once they're here for 8,000 years, we can call them native and "from here".

I was going to say .. probably by Ricky's ancestors, given the Dutch connection.

Actually Russian, but apparently the only way they could get here, was via the Dutch.

The Dad side is pure Italian.

Two sides of the coin -- at least I ain't French -- then I'd have to get a white flag :D

I'm French and Albanian .. I have 2 white flags.

David, not everyone in the Caribbean was brought from Africa. There were Arawaks and Caribs there, natives to the land. Remember?
Those who were brought came via the Spanish, British & French. Hence those 3 main influences in Caribbean.

I have all 5 Confederate flags -- what does that make me?

Ironic part is, the people moving in are from central America, and they don't give a hoot that I have one hanging in the garage.

They teach me a couple words every day in Spanish -- they talk really fast, but I'm starting to catch up. Body language is important. I think we're gonna have a grill and picnic tomorrow.

I know the history.... I am neither Arawak nor Carib. My great grandmother was actually a full white Portuguese lady. But you know Trinidad most everyone is a mixture of some kind.
