Inno Spot Led - Awesome!

Damn the Inno's are bright! I got a pair last week and set them up in my family room with 12 foot high vaulted ceilings and my middle son wanted me to turn them off. I was strobing them a bit too much and it was bugging him cause they were so bright. The Chauvet Intimidator Spot 250 LED is supposedly brighter on paper but with a 40 watt LED instead of a 50 like the Inno, I don't think the numbers are correct. The Intimidator does do split colors and have the easy to change SLOCK gobo system though, gotta give it props for that.

I took the Inno's out for the first time this past weekend to a 9400 Sq Ft venue and was VERY impressed with how they performed. Imagine the hall like a shoe box with me set up in the middle of the long wall with the head table opposite. The Inno's had no trouble at all hitting the wall / ceiling on the far side, not bad for a fixture that draws less than 100 watts. I've attached a photo of the room to give you an idea of the size. I've also attached another photo showing the Inno's projecting a star gobo in a blue color to match the decor. I cannot imagine needing anything brighter, although easy to change gobos would be nice... I am sort of getting a hang of the UC3 controller but I still have to figure out the strobe feature. I mean it works but I want to be able to start and stop it more on command as it tends to go on longer than I want sometimes. There has got to be a trick to it... The slow pan feature is nice, I used it for the first dance and any of the slower dances so not bug the 365 Italians in the room. wink.gif

I will post some video later when I get a new video editing program that works with .mov files.

Lights look awesome and you got me up til the last song. Try playing the Original Version of "Hot Hot Hot" sometime. Much much better! What was the other Laser you used?

Houston, yeah, I really like the original Arrow version but the sound quality is not as good as the Buster Poindexter version which is why I tend to play that version.

I was saving the laser for another thread... ;) But I will say that I created it using Pangolin QuickShow software and broadcast it using an X-Laser Mobile Beat MK5. It was the first time out for the movers and that laser which replaced my green only MB MKII which is for sale by the way. :) I was VERY impressed with the laser. I typed a bit of info on it in the Facebook paragraph.

Here is a video of the last dance from Nick & Kat's wedding this past weekend. CONGRATS!!! What a fun night it was at the Italian Cultural Centre. This video was put together to showcase a few of our new lighting effects. The blue stars floating by was accomplished using out new moving head lighting fixtures which went out for the first time that night. The spinning full colour logo was created using our new high power, full colour laser in conjunction with 'custom' programming using Pangolin QuickShow software. We had all kinds of messages broadcast by the laser as well throughout the evening such as 'Welcome Family & Friends', 'The New Mr & Mrs Graziano', etc. as well as cool animations such as champagne glasses toasting every time there was a toast being made, spinning circles of hearts during the slow dances, very cool overhead beam effects, the list goes on... The slight flickering of the laser image on the video is caused by the filming being shot at 30 frames per second while the laser operates at 20,000 points per second. As you can imagine, the camera can't keep up but don't worry, it looks great in person! All the beams looked great with the help of our 'healthy' hazer, not to be confused with the very unhealthy foggers that most others use. We also setup two-tone pink & blue up-lighting which looked very pretty. I hope you like the video! — at Il Centro Italian Cultural Centre.

$1,400. That will keep the wannabes at bay! LOL It sure is worth it! I am sure it is a Game Changer.
 
Houston, the software is used to control everything the laser displays so I just click on my finished logo and hit display, it's just that easy, once it's created that is... :) I can have it static or add a little rotation to the X axis or Y axis or Z axis or any combination of the settings. You can also add those rotations to any of the hundreds of graphics already built into the program or to others you've created, even to the text strings. It really is cool. :) Now that I have the full colour unit, I will start marketing it for weddings. During an Elvis song, I can have a laser image of what looks like Elvis dancing or Travolta for Disco tunes, etc...

Ben will get you the laser for $1150 delivered, if you tell him I told you he would. ;) Software is $600 but I'm sure Ben can shave a bit off that too. I bought mine with the MKII so I'm not sure on current pricing. Pangolin's support is incredible!

That is what some people say. The Original is by Arrow. It is a Calypso from the Caribbean. Lots of artists go down there and come back redoing songs they hear trying to make it their own. Since the Caribbean Version is not marketed as wide as the US Version, people tend to lean towards the one they hear the most.

One word of caution though, if you are playing for an ethnic or Caribbean crowd, do not dare to play the BP version unless you want to be sent packing. I have the long version of it on Vinyl. Came out in the late 70s early 80s.

Maestro, I don't mean to derail your Thread but is this the Version you have 7.01 Mins? The Audio on You Tube sucks and does not give it justice. That music is very dynamic with lots of Bass.
It is the understanding that Buster tried stealing the Copyright and Arrow ended up winning the judgement in Court. Arrow has since passed away. There are several artists like that who trie to claim other people's works. Michael Bolton is another one like that ...he sang "When a man loves a woman" originally made and copyrighted by Percy Sledge. For that reason I don't play any MB songs.
